Reading daily bible verses can take several forms. Choose the format that works best for you from the list toward the bottom of the page. Or, if you prefer, simply meditate on the verses in the box below.
– The 66 bible books aren’t in your bible in the order that the actual historical events occurred. They are arranged more or less by category (history, poetry, prophecy, gospels, letters). The book of Job, for instance, probably took place sometime during the events of the patriarchs, which is recorded in Genesis. But Job is written in a poetic style, and so you’ll find it along with the other books of poetry. Reading the bible chronologically can help give you a better historical perspective. Try it at

– This format simply starts at Genesis 1:1 and takes you straight through to the end of Revelation. You can try reading this daily passage from the bible at

- If you want to add a little variety to your reading so that you don’t get bogged down in the middle of Leviticus, you might want to try this daily bible verse format. Take a test run at

Whatever reading format you choose, do your best to stick with it. Missing a day or two is not the unforgivable sin – don’t be a perfectionist. But if you are consistent over a long period of time, you will see change take place in you. After all, Hebrews 4:12 says that God’s Word is alive and powerful. Let a reading of daily bible verses transform your life.
